Please discuss these rules and safety regulations listed below with your family members before using the pool facility.
- The Lifeguard is responsible for enforcing pool rules.
- No jumping or diving from the lifeguard stand.
- Residents of Princeton Corners who are not recreational members may not be guests at the pool.
- Princeton Corners recreational members must accompany pool guests.
- Lifeguards must guard from the lifeguard stand or from an area on the paddock where all swimmers can be observed.
- Standard Red Cross safety rules will be enforced at all times.
- Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult or qualified swimmer 15 years of age or older.
- Children who are 10 years old (or completed 4th grade) will be allowed to swim without an adult as long as they pass the water safety test. The Lifeguard will administer a qualification test (one length of the pool and tread water for 30 seconds).
- No sitting with or unnecessary talking with lifeguards while on duty.
- Unqualified swimmers must stay in the shallow end unless accompanied by an adult.
- One person at a time on the diving board.
- Area beneath the diving board must be cleared before diving.
- No hanging on the pool rope, running, or horse play around the pool.
- A 10 minute adult (18 years of age or older) swim time will be observed hourly. Time determined by the lifeguard. (Please, children completely out of the pool during this time).
- People with communicable diseases, open sores, or infectious eyes will be restricted from pool usage.
- Proper bathing attire required.
- Non-potty trained children must wear disposable swim diapers – NO EXCEPTIONS!
- No chewing tobacco or glassware allowed on recreational grounds.
- No pets allowed inside the pool fence.
- Pool may be closed for safety, health, or operational reasons.
- Bicycles must be parked outside the lawn area.
- No flotation devices allowed in the diving or deep-water area. Flotation devices in shallow water only as permitted by lifeguard.
- Tennis balls are not to be used in the pool area. Nerf-type balls may be used; however if young children are in the shallow end, ball throwing must be moved to the deep end.
- All lost items will be retained in the pump room “Lost and Found” box.
- The Pool Committee/Board of Directors will amend rules as needed.
