Dodgen is located at 1725 Bill Murdock Road, approximately 1/2 miles from Princeton Corners. Built in 1988, the Home of the Panthers promotes individual responsibility and inspires academic excellence. Like all of the schools used by Princeton Corners residents, Dodgen has a strong Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA).
In October 2021 US News and World Report released a new report ranking the top middle schools in the state, and Dodgen was ranked 1st in Cobb County and 5th in the state of Georgia.
The school promotes many extracurricular activities with a heavy emphasis on expanding the student’s awareness of their responsibility to themselves and their world.
Students are evaluated for Dodgen’s Target program, which provides an accelerated program for literature, sciences, and history. The school’s bands regularly receive Superior ratings at the annual Georgia Music Educators Association Band festivities.
